Book Finder™ is designed to help parents, educators, and carers find books that are suitable for a child’s age and reading level with confidence. You can search by age, topic, or reading stage, and every title shown has been reviewed for suitability before appearing in the results.

Step 1: Start a search

Begin by typing what you are looking for into the search bar. You can use natural phrases such as “animals age 8” or “classic stories for teens”. Book Finder™ recognises age numbers and topics, so there is no need to use exact wording.

Step 2: Refine your search if needed

Once results appear, you can refine them using the available filters. Narrowing by age range or topic can help you focus on books that are most relevant to the child you are choosing for.

Step 3: Review the results carefully

Each book result includes a short summary and suitability notes. These notes explain the recommended age range and provide guidance on why the book has been included in Book Finder™.
